A course designed for singers on the BMUS Vocal Performance Course. We will focus on consistent, idiomatic pronunciation of the German Language, especially as it is found in texts of Lieder and Arias from Opera and Operetta Repertoire. We will approach this by examining works currently studied in the 1-1 Lessons of course participants, as well as set examples from the classical canon, taking into account the wider historic and cultural context.
